Monacelli is coming off a thrilling USBC Senior Masters title match victory Sunday in Green Bay, Wis., where he defeated top qualifier and fellow Hall of Famer Pete Weber twice - 192-190 and 254-243 - for his third PBA50 major victory and fifth title overall.
On the PBA Tour side, a host of PBA Tour champions are entered including Sean Rash, Tommy Jones, Ronnie Russell, and from nearby Munster, Ind., Eugene McCune, just to name a few.
The tournament’s unique tournament format will determine doubles pairings based on qualifying order in the respective PBA and PBA50 Tour fields.
